Each year, The Christmas Joy Store provides over 10,000 children and their families with presents, food and treats to enjoy on Christmas Day.
We also host Christmas events, deliver food boxes to families and deliver toys to over 10,000 children in need, in 91 cities and towns across 16 regions in New Zealand. Check out how you can help below.

Alongside our National Partner, Mitre 10, we host toy collections in participating stores, where you can drop new toys to be delivered to local kids in need.
In 2024, the toy collection helped deliver toys to 8,021 children across the country. Let's see what we can do together this year!
Drop toys to your local, participating Mitre 10 store between Saturday 8th November and Sunday 14th December.

Get your workplace, school, club or team together and host a Giving Tree and collect toys for kids in need.
As well as the Christmas Joy Store, we deliver Christmas to children all over the country, with presents collected in each region staying local for local kids.
Register, and download everything you need to get started, including promotional materials, collection posters and our toy wishlist via the links below.

Help set the table and deliver toys under the tree for a family in need this Christmas.
Thanks to the support from our partners and community, for a $100 donation we can provide a family with food for Christmas and a present for each child.
Each food box will include pantry staples, food for Christmas, fresh produce, protein from Tegel and Meat the Need and treats from Cadbury and Arnott's for the whole family.

If you know a family going through a tough time - whether due to hardship, family violence, illness or disability - who may struggle to provide Christmas for their children, you can nominate them for support from 1 November 2025.
We have a limited number of spaces available for community nominations, as most are reserved for families referred through our community partners.
Please note that not all nominations will result in a spot at the Joy Store, and applications won’t necessarily be processed in the order they’re received.
Each year we receive an overwhelming number of nominations, and as much as we’d love to welcome everyone, we’re sadly unable to meet the full level of demand.
This year, we will be prioritising those who haven't been to the Joy Store before.
