Ki te kotahi te kākaho, ka whati, ki te kāpuia, e kore e whati.
When a reed stands alone it can easily break, but when bound together it is unbreakable.

We’re excited and grateful to share our Annual Report for 2023-24, which details the highlights of a truly transformational year for the Kindness Collective.
Over the past 12 months, 134,195 people supported by 162 Community Partners across 58 regions, cities and towns in Aotearoa have received essentials, moments of joy, care and connection, and much more.
This report highlights the impact of collective giving through our campaigns, projects, and milestones, including:
- the expansion of our Everyday essentials programme after the Auckland Floods and Cyclone Gabrielle, which saw our food support increase by 78% from the previous year,
- our 10th Christmas Joy Store, which delivered Christmas to 16,225 children in need,
- the growth of our winter campaign the PJ Project, which saw 14,500 pairs of warm, winter pyjamas delivered to kids,
- our continued commitment to Build Projects, which saw us partner with Mitre 10 to complete six builds including Joy Stores, school gardens and outdoor play areas,
- and the development of The Kindness Cup in its second year, with 5,400 children learning the value of kindness at school.
We’re committed to building on this success in the year ahead, continuing to foster kindness and build and grow our collective to help whānau in need thrive across Aotearoa. Kotahitanga, it takes all of us. Thank you for being a part of our community of kindness.
