Feed a Family

Donating food is a simple way to make a big difference.

Everyday we're feeding families who are finding it tough to put food on the table.

With the cost-of-living crisis affecting many, we now have one in eight children living in poverty, and 22% of Kiwi households unable to make ends meet. This number is only expected to climb.

Every week we are feeding anywhere between 1,000 to 3,000 people, more over Winter and Christmas. We provide food boxes to New Zealand Police stations, schools and social housing services for families in need and also through food bank referrals from social workers, community nurses, teachers and more.

Here's how you can help:

Donating food is a simple way to make a big difference. Donate $50 and we'll turn it into food for a family of four or, share what you can spare and collect cans and other non-perishable food items at your workplace, school or club.

You collect the food and we'll get it to families in the community who need it most. Collections are a great way to engage your team, students and friends, knowing that a little for you, is a lot for someone else.

“Mum has openly disclosed that she has gone days without eating, so that the children can eat. She was very grateful to be referred for a kai box as she has had to choose between paying her rent, power, water and affording groceries”.

“Kia ora, our families in the greatest need today received the most amazing food parcels. They have had the worst week, month, year but your kindness put smiles on their faces”.
